Martina - Landeck
length: 47 km
duration: 4 hours
Route
The Tyrolean Inn Bike Paths leads directly from the Swiss border through lush meadows to the village of Pfunds with its especially narrow, Mediterranean-style lanes. The path runs mostly along the river. To the right and left, cliffs and rock faces rise. The bike path itself runs over slight hills and with a continual gently falling slope. The section is suitable for children over eight years of age. The parish churches and chapels in Pfunds, Tösens and Prutz, as well as Siegmundskron Castle perched majestically above Ried, bear witness to the nobility and jurisdiction and give the region the name of “Ober Gricht” (Upper Court). The busy district city of Landeck is good for strolling or taking a cultural excursion to the Schorfenstein Ruins. LVB-Reisen Landeck organises a direct transfer several times a day from Landeck to the Maloja Pass, the starting point of the Inn Bike Path (approx. 2.5-hour bus trip): Departures after 8:00 AM and additionally if needed (min. 2 persons), get on or off in all villages of the Tyrolean Highlands, bikes can also be hired, registration at LVB-Reisen, the tourist association of Tirolwest or Tiroler Oberland. In Landeck, there are economical car parks for multi-day parking. Leisurely riders can travel free of cars with the Austrian Railways to Landeck and then take the Inn Bike Path in either direction.
